Lucozade deliberately uses him because he has a clean cut reputation and is an expensive acquisition for Real Madrid.Fruther, Bale is a good role model due to his reputation and is popular in the footballing field which makes him the perfect front cover canidate. Bale is captured in a mid close up shot in which he gives intense and direct body language portraying a very serious and masculine air about him. Bales close up conveys to the audience through his facial expression that he is strong and confident and can take on anything , i think lucozade does this in order to make the energy drink come across as giving you that feeling and the energy to accomplish anything.
